Year XXI of the Great October Socialist Revolution, October #10 1938, Iskustvo (Art), Moscow-Leningrad. USSR in Construction was a photo and photomontage constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, Spanish and German from 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. The cover features a collage of photographs of a man in a military naval uniform with an inscription on his cap Naval Military School on the backdrop of a warship at sea with red lettering. This issue is dedicated to The Soviet Navy, the articles feature the fleet on the Black sea, The federation of Leninist Communist Youth of the USSR that organised navy campuses for pioneers, the construction of the submarine and life there, torpedo boats. There are many full-length photographs of the ships in the sea, outside and their structure from the inside, sailors working inside and on decks, coming ashore, young pioneers. Paperback, 40 pages.
